For those of you that are not competing in the meet, the Club really needs you to volunteer at the meet.  All you need to do is show up at 9:00 at the JCSU track on April 19.  We need volunteers for running and scoring the field events, for posting results, for handing out medals, for answering questions, to help the meet director, etc.

Age-Graded Calculator

The following link is a quick way to determine age-graded performance ( http://jick.net/~jess/track/mtf/AGT.php).  Age-graded performance is used to determine equivalent performance in the 20-30 age bracket, and also as a percentage number.  Percentages above 90% are generally considered to be world class, and above 80% are national class.  With age your performance will naturally decrease, but corrected for age your performance may actually be improving!

Practice Schedule

The regular Club practice schedule is 9:00-11:00 Saturday at the UNCC track.  Several members are also practicing at UNCC on some weekday evenings from 4:30-7:00.  Come join us!

Club Website

The Club website is www.carolinastrackandfield.org.  There is a new “Important Link“ on the website “Masters T&F History”  This link was recently set up as an archive of masters track and field.  You may be interested in the impressive times and marks of some of our elite CT&FC members in prior years.  We really need to add some more pictures of members in action.  Please send your electronic photos or scanned images in reply to this e-mail.
